Meet Your Soapmaker

Amazing to see how far we've come!

Hey, everybody! I thought you might like to know who was making all your yummy soap and body products. It's meeeee! (I am a total dork, and if you've seen "How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days), apply that voice to the previous sentence.)

If I haven't met you at a market, fair, show, or otherwise, here's a brief run down.

I'm mom to two amazing humans. If we are friends on FB, or you've liked our page there, they are the two littles featured in the pics and vids all the time.

Yes. They are that silly most of the time.

Anyhoo, we are Sunshine Alchemists & Soap Co. We aim to infuse some joy and sunshine into your life through our soaps and other fun bath and body stuff. If you've looked through the online store, you have probably seen that we do like to have fun and inject some quirky unique features into what we do. At the same time, we are dead serious about choosing the best ingredients for you, and for us. Organic, sustainable, non-toxic. Yup. This is not a dippy hippy thing, these days, it is just basic necessity. If you take a look at the ingredients in many products out there, and find out what they ARE... it is scary. So we only use good stuff.

As far as background, I've been a painter for over 20 years. I've enjoyed stints as a dispatcher, director of entertainment ops (booking agent and pr diva) at a world music venue in NY, Starbucks coffee master, managing agent of a photographic agency, and, most recent to this, had my own branch as a financial advisor for 8 years. I also had a record label for a few years and my sister and I recorded and toured behind two albums on it. I guess that makes me an anomaly as my love of color, texture, scent, and design, are equally matched with my love of businesses and growing them.

In this venture, one of our main goals is to grow enough to employ women who have left domestic violence situations. Not that I'm opposed to having men around, that's just the direction we are taking at this time.

Well. I think that's it. Feel free to holla if you have questions or concerns. We're looking forward to serving you!
